Anniek Eerdekens
Anniek Eerdekens received her M.Sc. degree in Biomedical Engineering from Ghent University, Belgium, in 2019, and her Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from the same institution in February 2024. During her Ph.D., she collaborated with the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Ghent University and the University of Queensland, Australia, where she conducted research on equine health monitoring using IoT technologies. Her research focuses on machine learning algorithms and IoT-based solutions for animal health monitoring, with an emphasis on equine welfare. Key interests include early disease detection, behavior analysis, and real-time health monitoring systems using multi-sensor data
